Have you ever waited at a counter for service for what seemed like an eternity? No attendant, counter bell, or anyone to help!
Bell Ringer will get someones attention for you!
The apps has three different settings to choose from.
Use the Gold "Bell"setting for when you just need to get someones attention that is near by but not paying attention. The Silver "Buzzer" setting is a little more aggressive and will get someones attention. Great in crowds when you need to draw attention.
The Red "Alarm" is for those times when you desperatley need attention in a hurry!
It is sure to draw attention from anyone within earshot. If the Red "Alarm setting is left selected when you close the app, it becomes an instant alarm that sounds as soon as the app is opened. Very useful for those that have an isolated walk... To not have the alarm sound as soon as the app is opened simply select the Gold or Silver bell by tapping it's icon. You do not need to go into any settings screen or anywhere else to select the bell of your choice. It's that easy!
Bell Ringer has been updated so that you can now record and play back your own sound effects!
Bell Ringer Version 1.3 has been published and is available at the Marketplace for download. If you already have Bell Ringer on your Windows Phone you will be notified of an update when you visit the Marketplace.
A new icon has been added on the main screen to play back your recorded sound.
Once you have recorded the sound save it and then you can select it from a list of the sounds you have recorded.
Whichever sound you have selected from the list last, is the sound that will play when you tap the speaker icon on the main screen.
To record and playback your own sounds:
- Tap the ellipse ... at the bottom of the main screen
- Tap my sounds
- Tap the record button
- Enter a name for your sound or press the back button to accept the date as the name for your sound.
(Note: if you use the date as the name and then record another sound the same day the first sound wil be replaced with
the newly recorded sound. Better to enter a simple name for the new sound.)
- Tap the play button to preview the recorded sound or the save button to save it.
- If you don't like the preview of the recording , just tap the record button again to re-record your sound.
- Once a sound is recorded select it from the list to have it play when you tap the speaker icon on the main screen.
(The sound last selected from the list will be the sound to play when the speaker icon is tapped on the main screen)
- You can delete any saved sound by selecting it from the list and tapping the delete icon in the menu bar.
